Schwedt/Oder is one of the largest paper companies in Germany.
LEIPA Werk Schwedt Nord
The LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH was privatized in 1992 and is owned by the Bavarian paper and cardboard producer Georg Leinfelder GmbH & Co. from Schrobenhausen. The existing plants were reconstructed in a comprehensive investment programme. A new production line makes the best magazine paper of 100% recycled paper. Apart from that, testliners are produced in Schwedt/Oder, also of 100% recycled paper.
Since 1 July 2016, the factory is officially called Leipa Werk Schwedt Nord.
